Funmilayo Okechukwu writes slow, interior fiction about houses, inheritance, and the rooms families lose without ever discussing it. Lectures to No One, her first poetry collection, grew out of marginalia she never intended to publish.
She teaches a short-fiction workshop in Enugu twice a year and reads almost exclusively in translation.
